Jagannath Temple & Rath Yatra
The Jagannath Temple is an inportant Hindu Temple. The Temple is located in the city of Puri in Odisha. This Temple is a famous Hindu pilgrimage site. Thousands of people come here every day to visit Jagannath Dev. There is another form of Jagannath Dev Krishna in folklore. It is quite crowded here and about 2.5 - 3 million people from different states of India come here at this time just to see the chariot festival. Originally from Odisha, this Puri temple is famous for it.
In India, most of the Rath Yatra are in Odisha Puri city and in East Midnapore Mahishadal, Srirampur town, Mahesh's Rath Yatra, Kolkata and Iskcon's Rath in Bangladesh and fairs are organized in different places on the occasion of Rath Yatra.
There are some special things that are conventional here. A few days before the chariot ride, on the third day of Akshay, a piece of wood floated on the shore of Puri. Thats day the Temple pandas roamed the see all night.and after getting that wood, the chariot is made with it.
There are some special curiosities here. In the kitchen of the temple here, seven pots are placed one on top of each other. However, from the lowest pot here, the water in the top pot first boils. The offering of the temple are never more or less. There is a sea around the temple but the cooking water of the temple is never salty. Here fresh water always flows from the well in the temple but this water comes from the sea.
One of the amazing things is that the Nilachakra of the temple is the same as the direction of the temple is one side. There is no front, no back, no matter where you like. The dhojaa of the temple in changed daily at five o' clock in the afternoon. Surprising events still remain in the temple of Jagannath Dev in puri.
